Built for professionals with confidentiality obligations

Cairbre AI exists for people who cannot send client or patient material to a cloud service: attorneys, therapists, physicians, accountants. The architecture is the policy — there is no server of ours for your data to reach.

The short version: Cairbre AI runs entirely on your computer. Your conversations, documents, voice recordings, and AI responses never leave your device, and we never see them. There is no account, no telemetry, and no analytics in the app.

What stays on your device (everything)

Chat conversations and AI responses
Documents you add to the knowledge base, and their processed contents
Voice recordings and transcriptions (processed locally)
The AI models themselves and all inference
Your settings and license key

All of this is stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Cairbre AI on your machine and is removed if you delete that folder.

When the app contacts the internet (the complete list)

Initial setup — downloading the software components the app needs to run.
Model downloads — when you choose to download an AI model, it is fetched from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). Their privacy policy applies to that download connection.
Web search — only when you ask a question that uses web search, the search query — and nothing else — is sent to DuckDuckGo. You can turn web search off in Settings.
License activation — none. Your license key is validated entirely on your device. Nothing is transmitted when you activate.
Update checks — when the auto-update feature is enabled, the app checks our official release channel for new versions. The check sends no personal data, and you can disable it in Settings.

That is the entire list. The app makes no other network connections.

What we receive when you buy

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, who handle payment details — we never see your card number. We receive your email address and order details so we can deliver your license key and provide support.

Your data, your machine

Because we hold no copy of your data, we cannot access, share, sell, or lose it. Data deletion is entirely in your control: uninstall the app and remove %LOCALAPPDATA%\Cairbre AI.

Children

Cairbre AI is not directed at children under 13.

We will post any changes to this policy at cairbreai.com and note the date above.
